Inside Daron (part 6)

When the darkness finally vanished and I was able to see again, I directly looked into two dark brown eyes. They belonged to Serj who sat on table, gazing at me expectantly. I looked down my nody and saw white arms with three tattoos on them. They seemed so familiar to me but it took a couple of seconds for me to realize what had happened. This was MY BODY. My arms, my legs, my boobs (finally!). I was myself again!
“Serj ...”, I whispered. Like he could read my mind, he smiled at me broadly and nodded slowly.
“Yeeeah!”, I heard Daron shout next to me. Probably he had just discovered the same change. I turned my head and was so glad to see him and not myself sitting next to me. It made me smile as well.
“Holy fuck, yeah, I’m fucking male again! Yeee – haaa!”
“I thought you liked being a woman”, John said.
“Yeah, man, but not for the rest of my fucking life! I really missed my cock. Here he is again. Ahh, I love him!”
Daron unzipped his pants and took out his dick. Unfortunately I was not quick enough and turned away when it was already too late and I had seen what I never wanted to see.
“Daron!”, Serj sighed and then said to me: “I already start to regret that I helped you change back.”
“I feel for you”, I grinned, “but I’m so happy about it! Thank you so much!”
I have him a hug and really enjoyed the feeling of touching him with my own hands and skin for the very first time. He even seemed to smell different but of course he was still as attractive as before.
“So”, Shavo asked with the same silly grin on his face like he had when he slammed our heads together, “did you find out anything why you changed bodies? I’d really like to know that.”
Daron and I gazed at each other and smiled a knowing smile.
“What do you say, sister?!”, he giggled. I had to laugh, too.
“Sister?”, Serj repeated, “what does that mean?”
“Uhm, that’s hard to explain”, I smiled, “it has something to do with love and a tiny white rabbit.”
He looked at me like I was insane. Probably he even thought I was.
“Are you sure you’re allright?”, he wanted to know.
“Yes, I’m fine. Definitely.”
“Maybe I’ll explain it to you some day”, Daron said, “but you have to be nice to me.”
“Then forget it”, Serj laughed, “I’ll never be nice to you, even if you knew all the secrets of mankind, no way!”

“Do you really have to leave us so soon?”, Serj asked when we stood outside his house a couple of hours later. “I’d love you to stay. I could take you to the city and do a little sight-seeing and stuff.”
“I’m sorry”, I replied and really meant it, “but tomorrow is Monday and if I don’t come to work, they’ll fire me. I’ve been absent for so many times. Just can’t risk that. Although I’d also love to stay.”
“I see.. but when you’re around here again, you promise you’ll come over, okay?!”
“Sure”, I said, not quite sure if I would ever come to LA again at all. Serj seemed to have a similar feeling and handed me a piece of paper with some numbers on it.
“Here’s my phone numer”, he said quietly like he did not want the others to hear him, “and when I’m in Germany next time, we can meet. If you like to.”
“I love to.”
He gave me a huge hug and it was so hard to let him go afterwards. John and Shavo said goodbye as well (they did not really seem to care and talked about their plans for tonight) and then I faced Daron. He stood in the open door, smoking and looking at me like I had just punched him.
“I gotta go”, I said.
He nodded, threw the cigarette away and took me in his arms. Although we had already done that in the in-between world, it felt strange and different.
“You’re my only soul sister I know”, he said quietly.
“Yeah. Weird thing, huh?”
“Yeah. Weird. Really weird.” He let me go, looked almost sad for a moment and then changed back to the Daron we all know. “But anyway, I’m glad to be a man again. Hey, to be honest, being a woman sucks!”
“Why?”
“You always have to sit down when you wanna piss. I tried standing but man, I pissed on my own fucking feet!”
I laughed although I didn’t really know why. I mean, he just said he had pissed on my feet!
“But being a man sucks as well”, I said, “especially when you get a boner at wrong times.”
Daron raised his eyebrows. “Is there anything you wanna tell me? You didn’t make out with one of those motherfuckers, did you?!”
“Ask Serj”, I grinned and looked at my watch. “Oh damnit, I gotta be off or I’ll miss the plane.”
“I’ll give you a ride to the airport”, Serj said behind me, “but we really gotta hurry a little.”
When I got into his car, I heard Daron shout: “Hey, sister!”
“What?”
“I almost forgot, I left a little, well, souvenir for ya.”
“What is it?”
“You’ll find out. Just look for it, hahaha.”

Sitting in the plane, I lay back, took a deep breath and tried to understand what had happened during the last two days. I still couldn’t believe it and even thought I might just have imagined it all but no, there was Serj’s number in my pocket as a proof. A real nice proof. I yawned and stretched and suddenly got aware of a slight pain on my left arm. What the hell was that?
I removed my sleeve and was pretty surprised to face a new tattoo. It was just about a couple of hours old, still red and swollen. It was not a picture like the other tattoos I had but letters. I had to twist my arm and head to look at it the correct way. Then I could finally read it and also realized what a souvenir my soul brother had been talking about.

The letters on my skin said : “Daron wuz here, January 2008”
