I like this place. I really do. I like the people and I like what we talk about SOAD and other topics. I like our community. Yes, we are a community.

What I dont like are people who seem to have absolutely no manners. Who insult others, call them names, provoke arguments, destroy the atmosphere we try to create. I dont like that some people decided not to come here anymore because of this. We are losing friends, damnit!!

Dont we have forum rules which say what is allowed and what is not? Okay. Some of you will say, hey youre a mod, its your job to do something. I told certain people several times to shut up, to calm down, to be more polite, What I get is something like "I dont give a fuck about your opinion". What do we need mods for anyway if they are not respected at all?!

I dont know what you think about this and I dont care if some poeple are pissed because of this but I dont want to lose more people, people I like. We should think about how we treat each other. It might be funny to call someone names, okay, but in some cases IT IS NOT. Some are going too far and this has to stop.

And no, Im not too coward to call names. You all know who this is about and how not. I will name the persons if necessary. I dont want this place to become shitty, I want to come here and meet freidns and not hear about new trouble every fucking day.

Tell me your opinion and maybe suggestions on what we can do to improve the situation.

I agree with you. I've come to this place to feel better before, and came out feeling worse. Just because we're all friends doesn't mean the staff shouldn't be respected... however, I don't really have any suggestions to improve it, because one way or another, someone will be mad.

^^ and not only the staff. we cant run around and call everyone names like bitches or sth. we dont do this in real life, do we?!

I agree,sometimes I avoid some topics just because there's somebody insulting,it's really sad.

and you know what pisses off more? that people dont want to know everything. they love to blame someone who said "bitch" to someone, but they never want to know if that one really deserved it or not. what happened before... thats sad. and Darky you should know that better i guess. you go through all threads and you see everything... so why cant you accept that your so "sweet" friends can make mistakes and hurt others too.

Some of you may noticed I'm not around as much as I used to be,not because I have no time,I have it a lot,but some people on here obviously don't have any manners,and I can't stand that.
We all came here to hang around and talk about SOAD at the first place,but some turned that experience to something bad.
I'm not saying we should like everyone on here,but we have to try to be nice to everyone,it's not that hard,really.
And of course we must realize our mistakes,but if someone's made a mistake,is that a reason to call that person a bitch or something like that?!
Everyone makes mistakes,it's natural,and insulting people cause he/she has made a mistake is stupid and immature.
We're all normal people,able to forgive others,and if some of you can't do that,then there's no place for you here,at least it's my opinion.

I agree with Roby, too.

The problem is not that you might make a mistake and accidently hurt someone ONE or TWICE but this just happens so fucking often that its hard to stand. And I dont want to come here and get pissed on for whatever just because someone is on a bad mood.

You dont have to like everyone, of course not, but then avoid those people and dont talk to them or just try to be nice. And Im mean everyone, myself included.

See what happens? Everyone (almost everyone) states that they dont like STS so much anymore because of the facts I posted. Should we just say "ah okay, some will leave after one another, but well, whatever" or shall we try to work on it?!

Im curious about what more Kody has to say... hope he will post it.

EDIT: wait... Kody is an admin, right?! I always wondered why there are absolutely no consequences for this kind of behaviour... shouldnt there be any kind of punishment or anything? Just asking...

and there is an advice i can give to all :
if you feel insulted , even more than once , by the same person -
why not PM him/her and ask..maybe you learn to know someone
really nice and precious.

I guess I have to say something to this. I see, if I'm three weeks away this site goes head down.

I didn't read all, I just took an overview. I've seen those problems, and I guess the ppl I'm talking about know because I'm pretty harsh if I'm angry.
The easiest solution would be, to make better rules. I tried to avoid something that looks like you're bound to a certain type of message, I was sure, members would know on their own where the borderline is, but they don't do.
You should know, what you give you get back. I can only tell you, if you're caring, than treat others the way you want to be treaten. Otherwise I can make rules, much harder than the kindergarden rules and I can ban people. I don't want to, because I feel bad banning ppl after I got banned from kindergarden in that mean way. I always fight for freedom of speech, I can get really mad if someone here in germany is told to shut up, but if you want me to do it, I do. I request my staff to tell me who is making trouble and I watch it. I was three weeks away, I need some days to get an overview. But after that, I can make 24h bans, 48h bans, whatever we need.
