I'm wondering about that for a while now. When System come back as the System of a Down we know they would for sure record a new album and go on tour, okay. But what's with the old hiatus stuff then? I mean, those songs are really great and somes are just awesome live and it would be a shame to put them in the shelf and forget them.
Theoretically it wouldn't be that problem to still play them live. Both actual albums sound very much like System at all and even if Serj's new one is more jazzy/classic no one would mind one or two songs in concert Serj plays on a piano. Okay, playing those Scars/Serj songs would force Serj to stand more time behind his keyboard, but originally he was the keyboarder, right?
Well, they also could accept Erwin as a fifth member
All in all they have now enough songs to play a 2-3 hour concert, what is always a good idea in my eyes. I think it's sad, that so much musicians only play like 30 songs in concert also they have like 120 songs on different records. If you put out an album you think your songs are great, so you can't just fish out 30... but that's going too far.
So, what do you think? Would or should they play their hiatus stuff later? I definetly say yes to both. I'd scream for songs like chemicals or empty walls also on a System concert.
