Can System make you feel better?

It's a serious thought. I personally feel so. Sometimes I have these dark thoughts hidden deep in my mind and when they come out I nearly loose the ground of reality. Then I listen to SOAD and they bring me back. I never had it with a band. I listen to much stuff besides System, but they're the only ones who can make me feel normal again.

What's about you?

Well,I could say they make me feel better,no matter if I'm happy or not.
I just feel they have songs for every mood,and that the lyrics can bring me back from bad mood etc.
So,yes,they can make me feel better,that's why they're one of my fav bands.

There was a time they did .always .
nowadays I´m a little overfed with SOAD- music. I hope that will change again .
When i want to feel better , I listen to White Stripes live .

They'r ethe soundtrack of these ages of my life...and everysong has a deep meaning for me.

Not anymore. I use Mr. Bungle and FnM for that now. Haven't listened to SOAD in a while now...

They make me calm down when Im really angry about sth... then I listen to SOAD on my MP3 VERY loud and it helps... Im getting calm then. Dont know why that is.

The question about this is, are we Fans because the music influences us or does the music influence us because we're fans.

^I can definitely say that I'm a fan cause the music influences me. It's not just a case with System,there are some bands that influenced me long before I became their fan.
I think it's all about music,not that about being a fan or not.

I hear KoRn if I wanna come down or something like that.. not System..
Most time its like that.. but if im sadly I love it to hear this special sound of serjs voice..
But.. I can say that I like soad because of there music and nothingelse. At this time I listen first at soad songs I dont understand them. So system say nothing to me... Later it was somethingelse why I listen to there songs. I understand them.. I learn to like them, I learn to love them... I wanna be a fan of them.
Anyone understand what I wanna say?

^^ yeah I also think you are not fan from the beginning on, you have to get to know the band and only then become sth like a fan... and only then the music influences you, not before.
